Happy times with Baby Kierstin!

Laying in Mommy and Daddy's bed!

Corbin and Sissy watching Elmo!

Just lounging around!

Coming home!!

Kierstin and Daddy!

Corbin seeing his sissy for the first time! (Notice Kierstin covering her face!)

Chewing those fingers already!

It's cold, can I have a blankie PLEASE!

Just leave me alone and give me back to mommy!

Brent looking studly in his scrubs preparing for surgery!

Well, it has been too long since I have been on here, but it has been a crazy couple months. Kierstin was born on September 8, 2010 at 2:59 p.m. and weighed 6 pounds 13 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long! She is a wonderful baby! She only cries when she is hungry or needs her diaper changed and Corbin absolutely adores her. He is so happy that sissy is finally here. Her delivery, although, we knew it had to be by c-section was still a surprise! We were scheduled to go in for her delivery on September 9th, but on the morning of the 8th, I woke up to my water breaking! Therefore, she chose her own birthday and by the time we got to the hospital we were a bit more of an emergency than we ever expected. They were all very surprised that I was able to walk upstairs to my room.

Kierstin has already settled into a routine, she eats every 4 hours and goes to sleep between 9:30 and 10:00 at night and makes it to 4:30 or 5:00 before waking up! (TOLD YOU SHE WAS A WONDERFUL BABY!)

Corbin is Turning 2 on September 4th!

He would live in the bounce house if he could! He loves it!

I just love this one! Can't believe he didn't move!

He said he was 2, but could only get one finger held up! Oh well, we know what he meant!

He is checking out his new John Deere boots that he got from his Uncle Dale for his birthday and trying to find "money" in his pockets!

We had a Sesame Street birthday party this year!

He loves all of his characters!

Don't you just love how proud his is, then he is thinking about licking the cake!

Well, it has been a little busy around the Conner household! We are now preparing for Kierstin to come join our family next week and Corbin's birthday has defintely taken over. We found out last week at the doctor that Kierstin has decided that she wants to be sitting up just like everyone else, therefore, causing her to be in the breech position. The doctor is going to give her until Friday to turn around the right way, or else we will be having her next week. Therefore, we are trying to get all of the finishing touches on everything and prepare for our little girl's arrival. For the most part we are ready, but as a mom I don't think you ever feel totally prepared!

As for Corbin, he is growing up soooo fast. He had so much fun at his birthday party this past weekend and enjoyed playing with all of the other kids. He received some wonderful gifts and had a lot of fun with his family and friends! He did receive his "bike" that he just knew his Auntie Meg and Uncle Darren (arren) were going to get him. He also got a horsee from his Pa and Grammy which he loves as well. Again he just had a blast with his Sesame Street themed party.

As for Brent and I we are truly enjoying our son at this point. He is definitely the highlight of our life and we are looking forward to seeing how he interacts with "sissy" because Corbin claims he is ready for her to be "here, now." I hope he feels that way once she is here!

Summer Vacations!

On the way home from St. Louis with JIMMY!

Dillon and Corbin both loved the carousel! They rode it tons!

Corbin was in love with the horses! He wanted to keep going back to see them.

Grant's farm was a lot of fun!

We were able to see elephants!

We could have fed the goats, but Corbin would not get that close!

Indianapolis Zoo looking at the Dolphins after the show.

This could be Corbin's future girlfriend because he loves her!

Fun times at the zoo with the Lee family!

Things have been very busy this summer! You would think me being off of work would make life a little smoother, but no. It seems that no matter if I am working or not we can always keep busy. Corbin continues to grow like a weed. He is getting taller and taller everyday! My little boy is growing up. He is talking so much and loves to play outside. I don't know what we are going to do this winter because he is very difficult to trap inside on these HOT days!

As for the family, Kierstin is due in 5 weeks, Brent is in search for a job, and I am just trying to make it through this HOT summer. Currently, it looks as though I am going to be staying at home for a year with the kids in hopes that next year I will find a teaching job. I am selling Lia Sophia (a line of jewelry), which I am really enjoying doing. I have been doing this since May and it is going pretty well, so if anyone is interested please feel free to contact me, my website is www.liasophia.com/heatherconner1

This summer we were not able to take a BIG vacation due to my pregnancy, but we were able to do some fun stuff. We went to the Indianapolis Zoo with the Lee Family and went to St. Louis with my family (Darren, Megan, Dillon, Mom, and Dad). We had a lot of fun, but it was definitely tiring for Kierstin and I. We did a lot of walking in the heat which seemed to wipe me out! We went to Grant's Farm and the St. Louis Zoo. We were supposed to go to the Cardinals baseball game, but the rain kind of put a damper on that, so we just sent the guys and us girls and boys went shopping instead! We had FUN though and it was a very enjoyable weekend.

Corbin also met his new best friend, JIMMY! At the St. Louis Zoo we built our first "Build a Bear" and he is in love with him. He runs and walks with Corbin and Corbin thinks he is hilarious. We even have to take him with us and make sure that he wears his "belt" (seat belt) in the car. He shares his dinner with him and everything. It is so funny!

Happy Mother's & Father's Day!

I took the boys' and had their pictures done for my Mom and Dad for Mother's and Father's Day. It was definitely an experience. The boys were very wound up and needless to say we did not have the world's best photographer. We were able to get some pretty good pictures, but it is definitely an experience none of us will forget. As for next year, we will have 3 little ones to try to tame. It should be interesting.
Life is going pretty well at this point. I have started being a Lia Sophia advisor, due to losing my job as a teacher (due to Reduction in Force). We are currently hoping and praying that two people will retire and I will get my job back (yes, that is how close I am on the recall list). It is quite crazy!
As for baby number 2, we found out that we are having a little girl and her name will be Kierstin Darlene (Darlene is my mother's middle name). We have her room for the most part ready to go and are working on getting her wardrobe to even come close to what Corbin's was. At this point she has a long way to go!
Corbin is growing like a week and was 36 1/2 inches tall, in the 99 percentile, and weighs 26 pounds, therefore, he is a little bean pole! We can't seem to find pants that fit him in the waist and length. He is a talking little fool, who is extremely rambunctious and loves to be involved in everything. He especially likes to be outside where he can play with rocks and other things! He loves it and never wants to come in!
I will try to update soon, but it is very busy around here! We will be continuing to get ready for baby number 2 that will be here in September.

18 month, Easter, and New Family Pictures

Well, things are definitely changing around here! It is a little overwhelming at times, but our little boy is growing up and becoming more and more of a joy everyday. He is definitely the highlight of our lives. He is running around having fun everywhere he goes and has become a master of the slide at all parks. He is pretty sure he has conquered them all and can do it all by himself! He also has just recently gotten a toddler bed and a new bedroom all set for him. We are going to let him get used to his new room before making him sleep in there, but come June when I am off for the summer he is going to be sleeping in a big boy bed. We are also just about ready to start the potty training part of his childhood because he already knows where he needs to go "pee" (to hear him say it is absolutely hilarious!).
As for the family, we have just found out that we are expecting baby number 2! It is both exciting and scary at the same time. Therefore, over spring break we have been working on getting Corbin's big boy room ready for him and the nursery back to looking like a nursery, which entailed a lot of extra cleaning since the spare bedroom was used for a lot of storage. But, it is mostly finished now and I am feeling better about being able to get another little one in this house. The new baby is due on September 19th so Corbin will just barely be 2, but hopefully will be able to help out. He already is learning how to help me get supplies and is a pro at saying "baby." I am currently looking for jobs because I have found out that I am one of the lowest teachers on the seniority list at North Putnam so I will be being RIFFED in June. So, the job search begins (considering just being a stay at home mom for now though). There is a possibility that I could be called back because I am one of the closest to the top, but only time will tell. We are definitely keeping our fingers crossed though.
As you can see we have managed to get new pictures taken and Corbin did an awesome job, except there was a small ladder in the room and he would have really liked for the lady to take his pictures while he was on that instead of on the ground. He is definitely all boy, but we LOVE him so much!

SLEDDING!!!!

Look out below! Here comes Corbin! Told you he was a dare devil! :)

This is fun! Do it again!

Never thought being cold could be so much fun! Come to think of it, I'm not cold in all of these clothes! Thanks Santa!

Brent tried to hook Max up to pull the sled, he wasn't too thrilled.

Go Daddy, Go!!

WooHOO!!

Look at me go!

Trudging through the snow!! This is hard work!

Well, again we have been a little busy, but had a lot of fun times! Today Corbin was able to have his first experience with snow and he loved it. He really enjoyed sledding and was not so sure that he wanted to come inside! We may have done something we shouldn't have because I am worried that now he will want to go outside the rest of the day. Oh well! Guess it could be worse! Well, Corbin continues to grow leaps and bounds everyday. I think he learns something new everyday, or so it feels. He is learning new words, sounds, and things to do that will aggravate his parents. He is a very pleasant little boy, but he is definitely ALL BOY!!

First Christmas'

Loving Alesha helping him reach the goal! He just needs a little extra boost, doesn't have his Jordan's on!

Dillon was testing out Corbin's new car! He thinks one of those could be pretty cool!!

Practicing his form!

Peek a boo!

Trying to figure out how all this works!!

Telling everyone it is time to open presents!

The boys at the Sutherlin Christmas. I bought the boys matching sweaters last year on clearance and they looked soooo cute!

Well, it has been a while since I have posted, so sorry! It has been very busy around the Conner household. As most of you know Brent is an avid hunter and has a deer processing business. Therefore, this is an extremely busy time for him. He has been gone for about the last month and a half and we are just thrilled when he is able to make it home to see us! But, we understand and we get him the rest of the year so we have dealt with it. I am also working on my master's and have had to try to balance all of that along with family. It is extremely difficult to do especially when I have such a joy for a son.

As for Corbin he is walking (everywhere) and talking (all the time)! He is a very good runner at that. We have survived a few colds that were due to new teeth and even had to survive a trip to the emergency room as well. That was very scary, but we got it all taken care of. Definitely don't want to do that again. Corbin now has his top two molars in and one of his bottome ones in. I am thinking it will probably spring up rather soon.

Corbin now has a new love in his life as well, ELMO! Everything is Elmo this year and I am pretty sure I have been able to memorize a few of the DVD's. Oh well, he loves it and I love to see his face when it comes on. We are very anxious for him to open his gifts this year so we can see him when he sees his Elmo Live!! He has had the opportunity to open his first few gifts already this year and he is a real trooper. He can really tear into that paper and understands that tissue paper comes out of bags really easily. We had the Sutherlin Christmas at the beginning of the month and just had the Hughes Christmas tonight. Corbin had a great time and received some new goodies. Jama (Vera) got him a cozy coupe car and a basketball goal and he loves both.
